old overcoats

i remember the old blokes wearing these 50's and 60's coats.
smelling of moth ball and stale beers, sometimes a hint of bells whiskey......
some mucky ol' blokes that wore these would flash their privates so these coats got nick named 'flasher macs' mad Walt was the mucky bugger in Brid that did this.....

during the 80's it became very trendy to wear these. i remember borrowing my dads to wear to school. it was huge. the shoulders dropped off mine, it swamped me, but i wore it with the sleeves rolled up, collar up, full of attitude and thought i was hot shit in it.
i well fancied lads who wore one too.
this was early 80's goth wear... well, New Romantic merging into goth.
